In the style of GIAMPERTINO (1480/1485–1553) - 16th-Century Italian School Dimensions without frame: 27 x 23 cm. It has three small cracks in the paint that require retouching. It is possibly a panel painting (1480/1485–1553). Italian painter. It is believed that he is the artist whom Leonardo da Vinci occasionally mentions, as he must have belonged to the Milanese circle. Numerous echoes of him can be found in Giampetrino’s later compositions, which are like evocative worlds of an elaborate religious asceticism not devoid of sensuality. His subsequent success is demonstrated by the extensive catalog of copies of his works. Giampetrino is represented in the Prado Museum with two works: *Saint Catherine*, from the Museo de la Trinidad, and *Penitent Magdalene*, which comes from the bequest of Florencio d’Estoup y Garcerán and entered the museum in 1917.
