USA Native American mask, similar to those of the Pueblo peoples of the southwestern United States and closely related to the Katsinam masks, although it is not made of wraparound leather. Antique metal plates nailed onto a heavily eroded wooden core. Colors: white, red, green, and black. Nevertheless, the iconography—black facial chevrons, red bands, rectangular eyes, and feathers on top—is very similar to Hopi creations, particularly the Kwahu eagle or the Palakwayo red falcon, though it cannot be confirmed as a Hopi piece. H.: 21 cm – W.: 27 cm – Base included.
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
