PABLO PICASSO AND MICHEL SIMA The painter and the photographer on a beach, 1950s. Photo (photographer unknown), vintage silver gelatin print mounted on cardboard. 10.4 x 6.5 cm. The photo is damaged—specifically, it is torn (likely cut), with some creased edges and two small marks (on Sima’s foot). Note: Linked to a central figure in 20th-century art, this lot preserves the evocative power of the printed media that helped spread the ideas and images of their era. A prime piece to enrich a collection dedicated to 20th-century arts and documents.
