NAPOLEON Historical epic, directed by Abel Gance and produced by Gaumont-Metro-Goldwyn, 1927. Original, complete program from the premiere at the Paris Opera (Palais Garnier), 24 pp./semi-rigid paper (+ cover, featuring a medallion portrait), richly illustrated (all the film’s stars, from Albert Dieudonné to Antonin Artaud and Gina Manès…), original cord. 32 x 24.5 cm. Cover shows signs of wear, particularly tears and missing sections on the spine and edge, as well as a few creases in the paper that do not affect the interior pages. Note: This lot serves as a tangible testament to the artistic and intellectual culture of its era. A prime piece to enrich a collection dedicated to 20th-century arts and documents.
