COSMOS A world news magazine edited by Jean Allier (pseudonym?), whose publication appears to have been discontinued after this first issue; one reason may have been the postwar paper shortage (as noted on the back of the front cover), 1945. A vintage issue (likely the only one), 32 pp. (+ cover illustrated by Paul Colin) featuring articles on politics, Scouting, and women in the Resistance (among the titles: “The New France in a New World Toward a New Constitution”...). With a few illustrations. 31.5 x 24 cm. Note: This lot attests to the vitality of artistic and intellectual exchanges through the press and publishing. A prime piece to enrich a collection dedicated to the arts and 20th-century documents.
