FRIENDS OF 1914 The “Montparnasse” spirit in this weekly publication of the Académie de la Coupole, 1934. 2 period newsletters, a single-sheet issue printed on both sides announcing a burlesque ball based on Alfred Jarry’s *Ubu Roi* and the contributions to the hall’s decoration (from Dufy and Vertès to Poiret, Utrillo, as well as Lepape, Laurencin, Wassilieff, and others) + an 8-page issue featuring, on one side, the “incomplete” list of the Friends of 1914. Approximately 22 x 13 cm each. Newsletters show signs of wear. Note: This lot serves as a tangible testament to the artistic and intellectual culture of its era. A prime piece to enrich a collection dedicated to 20th-century arts and documents.
