Rondache from the “Chimera” set Electroplating Chimera-patterned armor, triple patina, silver, copper, and brass. Mid-19th century. Black-lacquered iron base. H_ 90 cm (total) D_68 cm Related work: Based on the original created around 1560–1570, which is said to have been given as a wedding gift to the Duke of Alba, Fernando Álvarez de Toledo (1507–1582), and is now housed at the Army Museum at the Hôtel des Invalides.
