Flemish School, c. 1520, circle of Jan DE BEER The Adoration of the Magi Parqueted oak panel. (Previous restorations.) Height: 60 cm; Width: 51 cm This work is associated with the central panel of a lost triptych, probably dating from 1518–1519 and now attributed to the Flemish artist Jan de Beer. Its side panels depicted the Flight into Egypt and the Nativity. Numerous versions with variations are known, notably the one in Munich (Alte Pinakothek, inv. no. 1431 a-c.), which is considered the most faithful to the lost original.
