Tavernier for) the Widow [A. van Ertborn] & Heirs of Joannes Steelsius 1570 (col.: 1569) 18mo: [16 (of 18)]-319-[3 bl.] ff. (last preliminary folio replaced by a contemporary handwritten copy; angular tear in the paper without loss of text restored on the preliminaries; water stains and light browning throughout; red handwritten note on the last folio). Contemporary calf, boards richly gilt-ornamented “à la fanfare,” including a sun, stars, and the inscription “IHS” within a radiant medallion, surmounting a heraldic composition; spine with raised bands (rebacked, skillfully restored). Rare pocket edition of the Louvain Bible, published jointly with the heirs of Arnold Brickmann. Cf.
