AERTSSENS, G. "Illustrated map of two tenant farms with their adjoining lands, woods, and meadows [...] within the municipality of Heyndonck [...] at the request of the Dowager Countess, widow of the late Count d’Oultremont [...]. Antwerp, July 3, 1812" Drawing, pen, black ink, watercolor, on 2 sheets, together c. 95.5 x 126.8 cm, laid paper (some small marginal tears without loss, small brown stain in the lower right corner, some light soiling (mostly at the sides), a few tiny spots). Mounted on cloth (edges slightly frayed). Very large, beautifully drawn cadastral map, depicting in great detail the village of Heindonk (Willebroek), south of the Rupel River. In total, 71 lots are numbered on the map, with a brief description and dimensions provided in the table. It already mentions De Bocht Castle (“Hof den Boucht”), which replaced an older castle that had fallen into disrepair and was demolished in 1812. It also includes the windmill and the local church. Commissioned by the widow of Charles-Ignace d’Oultremont de Wégimont (1753–1803), Anne-Henriette de Neuf d’Aische (1757–1830), who inherited extensive lands in Heindonk from her father, Simon Joseph Charles de Neuf. Registered by the “Recerveur” de Coninck on December 13, 1831.
