889 - [MONTECALERIO, Giovanni] Provincia Valloniae cum confiniis. [Rome] n.p. [1643?] Engr., 21.6 x 32.5 cm, hand-colored (lower edge slightly smudged, not affecting the image). Hinged at the upper edge. Mounted on a passe-partout. Very rare map of Wallonia from the Atlas of the Capuchin Provinces, *Chorographica descriptio provinciarum, et conventuum fratrum minorum S. Francisci Capucinorum*. The atlas, originally in manuscript form, was intended to serve as a travel guide for the order. The map could, in a sense, be considered the first map of Wallonia. Ref. Shirley, G.MONT-2a, 52.
