Brown half-basane with small corners on the spine, cast-paper covers, smooth spine with gold fillets, red title labels, yellow edges mottled with red (rubbed, a few gaps in the cap bands, blunt corners). A revised and expanded edition of a classic—the greatest agricultural encyclopedia of the 18th century—first published in 1781 by Abbé Rozier (1734–1793) under the title “Cours complet d’agriculture [...].” This edition includes Rozier’s articles as well as new articles by a group of thirteen authors (Thouin, Parmentier, Huzard, Silvestre, Chaptal...). Complete set of the 60 plates depicting agricultural implements, wine distillation apparatus, flax-weaving equipment, oil mills, orangeries, potato-cutting machines, wine presses, greenhouse plans, etc. List of subscribers and table of Latin names at the end.
