Contemporary mottled sheepskin, gilt-ornamented spine with raised bands, marbled edges (head and tail slightly damaged, front joint beginning to split at the top, light rubbing). Rare 2nd augmented ed. of this dictionary of “simple drugs” of animal, vegetable, and mineral origin. Illustrated with 25 engraved plates featuring 384 plant species and 16 animals (bezoar, beaver, civet, turtle, hippopotamus...).
