Contemporary half-sheep, mottled paper boards, gilt decoration, flat spines (very lightly rubbed, corners slightly bumped). Edited by Dirk Leonard Oskamp, Martin Houttuyn, and Johan Carl Krauss. Illustrated with 600 numbered engraved plates, all hand-colored. Each volume contains 100 illustrations of medicinal plants, trees, and herbs taken from Johannes Zorn, with short descriptions in Dutch (from Houttuyn’s *Natuurlijke historie*) and Latin (from Gmelin’s edition of *Linnaeus’s Systema Naturae*), plus an account of their pharmaceutical applications in Dutch.
