280 - VILLON (François). *Les Escripts de François Villon*, illuminated and calligraphied by Guignard, Paris: Le Club du Livre, 1974, two volumes. Large quarto, 273 pp. Copy no. 224 (of 186) on Arches vellum. Full khaki-green sheepskin binding with cold-stamped design, spine with four decorated false ribs, gilt title, covers richly adorned with studs, half-khaki-green sheepskin slipcase with gilt title on the spine, fawn suede lining, matching slipcase. Inside a slipcase with a matching spine are “Villon et son temps” (an original study by Louis-Robert PLAZOLLES, 78 pp., publisher’s hardcover binding), and various facsimile documents: a color “Danse Macabre,” drawings and woodcuts, playing cards, and archival documents (the 1552 map of Paris is missing).
