1138 - "The Snake Charmer" by Berthold Boeß (design), 1916; Rosenthal, Selb (execution), 1916–22. Porcelain, glazed, polychromatic decoration in overglaze colors. On a flat rectangular base, a scantily clad female figure plays a flute, using it to charm a small snake. Decorated in gold. On the base, a green underglaze manufacturer’s mark with a stroke, as well as the incised model number “K.442,” and on the back of the pedestal, the artist’s signature “B. Boehs.” H: 19 cm. Chipped.
