Based on designs by ROMEO REGA (Rome, 1925–1984) Side table. Italy, 1970s. Brass and wood veneered in walnut burl. It shows slight signs of wear consistent with its age. Measurements: 125 x 38 x 77 cm. This elegant Italian console table from the 1970s, crafted from brass, metal, and wood, embodies the refined style of Romeo Rega, one of the leading figures in Italian glam design of that decade. With its geometric structure in gilded brass and a richly toned wooden top, the piece combines luxury with architectural lightness, evoking the sophisticated taste of the late mid-century period and the most decorative aspects of Italian modernism. Its design, halfway between the functional and the sculptural, reflects Rega’s signature aesthetic: clean lines, fine materials, and a cosmopolitan flair that remains highly valued in contemporary interior design. An ideal console table as an accent piece, capable of bringing warmth, brilliance, and character to any space.
