Sideboard; 1980s. Gold-colored metal and green glass. Measurements: 63 x 76 x 46 cm. A sideboard from the 1980s, representative of the glam-inspired style that characterized much of the design of that decade. Its gold-plated metal frame, combined with two green glass surfaces, creates a contrast between the metallic sheen and the transparency of the glass, giving it a light yet highly decorative presence.The design, with its geometric and refined lines, draws on the reinterpreted Art Deco aesthetic that was prominent in 1980s furniture. The wheels and the two trays also reflect the functional purpose of classic bar carts, pieces designed both for serving and as decorative elements.
