Mid-Century table lamp. MILAN ILUMINACIÓN. Barcelona, 1970s. Burgundy-colored glass, gold-colored metal, and fabric shade. It retains the original manufacturer’s label on the base. It shows patina and surface stains on the metal parts, especially on the base. Measurements: 57 cm high x 51 cm in diameter. This table lamp is an attractive example of 1970s lighting design, characterized by the use of hallmarks such as contrasting materials and forms with a strong decorative presence. It stands out for its deep burgundy glass base, with a globular profile and a slender neck, decorated with satin-finished horizontal bands and fine gold trim. The composition is complemented by gold-finished metal elements and a wide, cylindrical beige shade, whose geometric volume contrasts with the curved forms of the glass. Founded in Barcelona in 1960 by Jordi Jané Pujol, Milan Iluminación is a Spanish firm specializing in the design and manufacture of decorative and functional lighting fixtures, renowned for its attention to materials and the quality of its finishes.
