100 - Floor lamp. Spain, 1990s.

Floor lamp. Spain, 1990s. Papyrus and wood with a silver finish. Functionally, each light has an independent switch operated by thin chain pulls, allowing you to adjust the ambient light intensity. Exhibits wear consistent with age and use. It retains its original period wiring. Measurements: 104 cm (height) x 17.5 cm (diameter). This floor lamp, with its Brutalist aesthetic, stands out for its striking sculptural presence and a well-defined architectural composition on three levels. The structure begins with an open base of angled metal plates from which three slender vertical shafts in a black finish emerge, crowned by cylindrical steel shades with a patina in shades of bronze and copper. Its most distinctive feature lies in the openwork design of the diffusers, which are punctured with circular holes of varying diameters that, when illuminated, create complex interplays of light and shadow in the surrounding space. Of unknown designer and manufacturer, this piece of Spanish origin is representative of the formal experimentation of the 1970s, a decade in which lighting design explored the expressive character of worked metals and bold geometries to create fixtures with a marked sculptural accent. Its condition faithfully reflects its age, showing signs of use and an attractive natural patina on the metal surfaces, while preserving its original period wiring in perfect condition.
