Three-panel folding screen, ca. 1940. Iron and woven wicker. In very good condition. It has an attractive patina. Measurements: 138 x 188 x 18 cm. This screen stands out for its combination of a sleek metal frame with the warmth and artisanal character of woven wicker. Its design reflects an interesting synthesis of functionality and ornamentation, typical of decorative furniture from the first half of the 20th century. Composed of three panels connected by hinges, it features iron stretcher frames with rounded corners, resting on small arched feet. The wickerwork forms an elaborate geometric pattern of concentric rhombuses and diagonal lines that adds rhythm and texture to the piece. The hallmarks of the dark iron and the natural tones of the fibers accentuate its visual appeal, while its folding structure allows the piece to be adapted to different spaces. Its aesthetic combines the simplicity of modern design with the tradition of handcrafted work in plant fibers.
