In excellent condition, with no missing pieces in the mosaic. Measurements: 46 × 125 × 60 cm. Coffee table with an oval top, decorated with an abstract mosaic in which dark bands and curved lines of tesserae stand out against a light-colored stone background. The copper elements introduce warm tones and enrich the surface hallmarks. The tabletop rests on two black-lacquered iron supports with crossbars, whose simplicity highlights the mosaic work. Berthold Müller-Oerlinghausen was a German sculptor and mosaic artist trained in Bielefeld and Berlin. His travels to Italy, particularly to Ravenna, shaped his approach to mosaic art. In 1936, he founded a studio in Berlin, which he reestablished in Kressbronn in 1946, and from which he developed a body of work linked to the applied arts.
