Postmodern table lamp. Italy, ca. 1990. Stained MDF, metal wire, and ebonized wood. A unique and unusual piece. In excellent condition. Measurements: 75 × 28 × 28 cm. A sculptural lamp featuring a light-colored, conical-shaped shade with an asymmetrical top opening, traversed by a circular support made of stained MDF. Three legs made of wavy metal wire, topped with small black spheres, form a lightweight base that contrasts with the volume of the shade. The lower cone, made of ebonized wood, allows for adjusting its orientation and modifying the direction and projection of the light. The combination of geometric shapes, wavy lines, and spherical details gives it a playful character linked to postmodern design. Its significance for contemporary design lies in its integration of lighting and visual expression, making the support and adjustment elements part of the piece’s decorative identity.
