Sculptural and kinetic pendant lamp. Europe, ca. 1970. Metal, cobalt blue and clear glass pieces with elongated profiles and metal pendants with a brushed finish. The glass elements bear a signature, apparently “GT,” which could correspond to Giusto Toso. Excellent overall condition, with no significant flaws visible in the photograph. Measurements: approximately 60 cm in diameter × 115 cm in height. This ceiling lamp stands out for its sculptural character and the play of light created by its elements suspended at different heights. Two circular metal discs support a cascade of elongated pieces of cobalt blue and clear glass, combined with brushed metal pendants. The delicate filaments lend a sense of lightness to the ensemble and allow each piece to contribute to an ever-changing composition of reflections and transparencies, reminiscent of the kinetic aesthetic and light experiments of the 1960s and 1970s.
