Pair of table lamps with pedestals, 1970s. Brass, travertine marble, and white fabric shades. Macassar ebony bases. In good condition. Measurements: 71 x 35 x 35 cm (each lamp); 107 x 38 x 38 cm (each base). This set of two lamps with their corresponding bases is an elegant example of 1970s design, characterized by a combination of fine materials and a geometric concept with a strong architectural presence. The clean lines and the contrast between surfaces and finishes reflect an aesthetic that revives decorative luxury through a contemporary design language. Each lamp features a slender brass shaft, composed of vertical elements with a rectangular cross-section, resting on a square base of travertine marble. The white fabric shades, with their gently curved profile, balance the verticality of the structure. The pedestals, with a square footprint and stepped bases, stand out for the pronounced grain of the Macassar ebony, whose rich color is a hallmark of its contrast with the golden tones of the metal. The combination of these two pieces creates a composition with great visual impact, particularly well-suited for spacious areas and Mid-Century-inspired settings.
