Set of four chairs, possibly by PHILIPPE RENAUD. France, late 1980s. Metal. They feature a patina consistent with use and the passage of time. Measurements: 50 x 95 x 40 cm (chairs); 50 x 117 x 40 cm (stool). A set of four chairs with a Brutalist aesthetic and postmodern details, whose metal structure combines formal strength with a playful character. The rounded-top backrests feature an angular cutout at the bottom, while a helical element wraps around one of the legs of each chair, adding rhythm and movement. The uniform green finish accentuates the design’s unity and highlights its unique silhouettes, which straddle the line between functional furniture and sculptural objects.
