Friedrich Preller d. J. Friedrich Preller the Younger Shipwreck in the Morning Mist Oil on canvas. 30 x 52 cm. Signed lower right: Preller. Even during his lifetime, Friedrich Preller the Younger was regarded as a master of atmospheric landscapes. Our painting is probably a depiction of a coastal town in northern France. The unusual, steep rock also features in another of Preller’s works, which was auctioned at Lempertz in May 2026.
