A cuirassed and draped bust of Louis XIV facing right, his abundant hair falling in long curls. Signed: I. DOLLIN. F. Reverse: “PROLVSIO AD VICTORIAS.” In the exergue: “DISCIPLINA MILIT RESTITVTA / M. DC. LXV / T. BERNARD. F.” In the courtyard of a palace adorned with a colonnade and a balustrade topped with statues, King Louis XIV, shown in three-quarter profile from the right, holding a command staff, reviews a row of musketeers or guards in full armor.
