Obverse: “LOUIS PHILIPPE I, KING OF THE FRENCH.” Laureate head of Louis-Philippe I facing left, wearing a crown of oak leaves. Signed: MONTAGNY. F. Reverse: “THE STATUE OF NAPOLEON IS RESTORED TO THE COLUMN BY LOUIS PHILIPPE I / JULY 1833.” Statue of Napoleon I in uniform, wearing a frock coat and bicorne hat, his right hand slipped under his waistcoat, standing facing forward on a pedestal topped with a scalloped frieze; on either side of the statue, “JUIL” and “1833”; above the cornice of the capital, the signatures “MONTAGNY” on the left and “FECIT” on the right.
