Obverse: “SWITZERLAND PACIFIED AND REORGANIZED.” An eagle with outspread wings, facing forward, head turned to the right, surrounded by rays, holding in its talons an open book inscribed with ACTE / DE / MEDIA- / TION. Signed: ANDRIEU F. Reverse: “FIRST ASSEMBLY OF THE GRAND COUNCIL OF THE CANTON OF VAUD,” with the exergue: “APRIL 14. / M.DCCCIII.” Facade of the Grand Council building in Lausanne, topped by a triangular pediment and bearing the cantonal motto LIBERTÉ ET PATRIE.
