MEISSEN PORCELAIN MANUFACTORY MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURE BOY WITH A GOAT. ALLEGORY OF AUTUMN. An elegant Meissen porcelain figure depicting a young boy accompanied by a goat and carrying a basket of grapes, executed in the tradition of eighteenth century Saxon porcelain sculpture, symbolises the Allegory of Autumn, the season of harvest and abundance. The composition is distinguished by its lively modelling, refined sculptural quality and delicate hand painted polychrome decoration. The exceptional quality of the modelling, sophisticated colour palette and meticulous attention to detail demonstrate the outstanding artistic standards of the manufactory.
