Pellé SERGE PELLÉ ORBITAL Nomades (Vol. 3), Dupuis 2009 Original cover. Signed. India ink and gouache on paper 50 × 65.3 cm (19.69 × 25.71 in.) The Orbital series is likely the work that first revealed Serge Pellé’s talents to many. Thanks to Sylvain Runberg’s ambitious storyline, his universe is teeming with life: gigantic architecture, believable technologies, and remarkably inventive extraterrestrial creatures… His precise line work lends a true sense of materiality to the machines and their surroundings. This cover is a testament to that, remarkable for its composition, dynamism, and use of transparency. This tangible imagination makes Serge Pellé one of the leading figures in contemporary French science fiction comics.
