Cosey COSEY In Search of Peter Pan (Vol. 2), Le Lombard 1995 Original page no. 92, first published in Le Journal de Tintin no. 468, August 28, 1984. Signed. India ink on paper 35 × 46 cm (13.78 × 18.11 in.) This is a beautiful panel by Cosey depicting a key scene from her most famous album, which marks her transition from traditional adventure comics—as they were conceived in the 1950s and 1960s— with recurring heroes, to a “graphic novel” of over one hundred pages: *In Search of Peter Pan*, conceived specifically for the album, even though the publisher didn’t believe in it. Unlike the contemporary and exotic *Jonathan*, this one-shot is set in the 1930s, recounting the journey of an English novelist, Sir Melvin Woodworth, deep in the Valais Alps, in search of a missing brother. There he will encounter not only the fascinating mountain landscapes that Cosey renders to perfection… Didier Pasamonik An adventure in the Valais Alps, inspired by my childhood memories of the mountains, both in summer and winter, as well as by C.-F. Ramuz’s novel *Farinet ou la Fausse-Monnaie*. I love the juxtaposition of snow and rocks, which allows for an almost abstract approach to the elements depicted… The publisher didn’t want me to stray from Jonathan, even for a moment. I insisted, stubbornly, and that led to *In Search of Peter Pan*. Cosey
