Dodier ALAIN DODIER JÉRÔME K. JÉRÔME BLOCHE L'Ombre qui tue (Vol. 1), Dupuis 1985 Original cover. Signed. India ink on paper 35 × 46.5 cm (13.78 × 18.31 in.) In the Jérôme K. Jérôme Bloche series, written by Makyo—Dodier’s longtime collaborator—Bloche is an investigator of everyday life. His surname refers to a humorous writer from Victorian England: Jérôme K. Jérôme, who, it was said, could turn everyday life into an adventure. That is exactly what this is. Dodier’s artwork is perfectly executed, clear, and effective, freezing time like an insect in amber. This cover is from the first volume, in which we see the hero threatened by a killer wielding poisoned arrows… made of radjaïdjah?
