A tribute to *The Crab with the Golden Claws*, Olivier Schwartz’s favorite comic book. In this large, humorous, and spectacular illustration, Spirou and Fantasio—lost and exhausted in the desert—remain oblivious to Spip’s warnings as he tries to alert them to the presence of a busy road just a few meters away from them. A splendid composition featuring vertical gradients descending from the blue of the sky to the yellow sand, as well as a horizontal contrast between the desert on the left and the bustling traffic on the right. “The slogan on the roadside billboard means ‘enjoy Coca-Cola’ in Arabic. I really liked the completely paradoxical nature of a Coca-Cola ad right in the middle of the desert.” O.S.
