9093 - Gouache on heavy paper, STILL LIFE, slender light-colored vase with 2 rose stems, monogrammed "LoKi" in the lower right corner, sheet approx. 57 x 42 cm, 1949: Apprenticeship as a machine fitter at the Werdau railcar factory; subsequently worked as a toolmaker and welder, among other roles, at the VEB Kraftfahrzeugwerk Ernst Grube Werdau and the VEB Textilmaschinenbau, 1960–62: Trained under Carl Michel in Zwickau; settled in Karl-Marx-Stadt/Chemnitz in 1973; at age 50, with the support of Michel Morgner, was admitted to the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR; worked as a freelance painter and graphic artist beginning in 1985, 1991: Art Prize from the Ludwigsburg District Savings Bank; studio and home on the Kappelbach in Chemnitz; numerous exhibitions, primarily in Saxony and throughout Germany
