9074 - three aquatint etchings, *STEPS IN THE SNOW* (1977), WOOD or LABYRINTH II (1975), each signed, dated, and partially inscribed on the plate, plus each signed in lead, dated, partially titled, and numbered, minor signs of age, sheet size up to approx. 37 x 50 cm; after completing a masonry apprenticeship and taking drawing lessons with Etha Richter, attended the School of Civil Engineering in Görlitz from 1953 to 1956, followed by studies in architecture, painting, and graphic arts at the HBK Dresden; worked as an architect there beginning in 1961 and in Berlin beginning in 1963; created his first etchings beginning in 1971; admitted to the VBK of the GDR in 1974; worked as a freelance graphic artist beginning in 1980
