Adalbert Seitz - Butterflies of the World 1914. This chromolithographic print is from The Macrolepidoptera of the World by Dr Adalbert Seitz. Published in Stuttgart, Kernen Verlag, 1914. The fine plates in this work were made using the process of 1014 colour lithography, and its excellent quality has remained unsurpassed. The most important collections of butterflies were consulted including those of L. W. Rothschild of Tring, the British Museum, the Paris Natural History Museum, the Senckenberg Museum at Frankfurt, as well as collections in Tokyo, HongKong, Australia, South and North America, etc. Size: approx. 13in x 10in (33.5cm x 25cm) The print is in excellent condition - please inspect the image carefully
