Eugénie de COUCY, Marshal OUDINOT’s wife, Duchess of REGGIO. On January 19, 1812, Nicolas-Charles OUDINOT, Duke of Reggio (1767–1847), married Marie-Charlotte-Eugénie de Coucy in his second marriage; they had four children together, in addition to the seven children from his first marriage. Letter A.S. “Marshal OUDINOT’s Wife, Duchess of REGGIO,” undated. 1p in-8°: “My Dear Moniteur ADAM, FRANTZ will ask you to kindly tell him how he can have the oak wood you were kind enough to set aside for us at the Sicatière construction site delivered and measured; my horses will haul as much of it as they can. I look forward to seeing you so that I may personally express my regret over the foolishness committed against you by Madame Mancourt. I ask you to forgive her, for she is no longer with us; but I found it difficult to overlook this impertinence, however unintentional it may have been. Please accept my sincere apologies.”
