LEGO 928 – Galaxy Explorer 1979 46 x 29 x 6 cm For generations of builders, this is the definitive LEGO spaceship. Its broad blue-and-gray wings, yellow cockpit, and LL928 markings embody the appeal of Classic Space: an imagined future of astronauts, lunar outposts, and discovery. Released in 1979, this 318-piece set with 4 minifigures remains a centerpiece of the original Space fleet. Its place in LEGO history was recognized in 2022, when the Galaxy Explorer was reimagined for the company’s 90th anniversary. This example preserves the original experience through its remarkably well-preserved outer box and the surviving inner box, although the latter is damaged. More than forty-five years after its release, the combination of an iconic model and beautifully preserved packaging gives it particular appeal to collectors. Used, complete. Some pieces show age-related yellowing. Outer box in excellent condition; original inner box included, with damage.
