ISFAHAN OR NAJAFABAD RUG Cotton warp and weft, wool pile. The rug is adorned with a double, polylobed, polychrome medallion, extended by two pendants on an ivory-colored background enhanced by an elegant, stylized floral design. The entire composition is embellished with four navy blue spandrels. A red border featuring garlands of flowers is framed by four counter-borders. Central Persia, circa 1940–1980 227 x 161 cm.
