ISPAHAN RUG Warp likely made of silk, weft of cotton, and pile of wool. The rug features a polychrome central medallion, flanked by two pendants, on an ivory ground enhanced by an elegant stylized floral design against a navy blue background. A wide border with multicolored floral motifs is framed by four counter-borders. The carpet is signed in one of the counter-borders. Central Persia, circa 1940–1980. 250 x 158 cm. (good condition).
