SET OF TWO RUGS Includes: - Ghoumen silk rug (cotton warp and weft, silk pile). The rug is adorned with a midnight blue, multi-lobed mihrab, surmounted by two columns and a hanging lamp, and a vase of flowers against a violet background decorated with floral motifs. A narrow polychrome border, framed by two counter-borders, encircles the composition. Central Persia, circa 1950–1980 212 x 138 cm. (frayed). - Keschan rug cotton warp and weft, wool pile. The rug is adorned with a solid red, multi-lobed mihrab, surmounted by two columns and a hanging lamp against a navy blue background decorated with polychrome flowers. The main border, featuring a polychrome floral design, is framed by four counter-borders. Central Persia, circa 1950–1980 213 x 133 cm. (frayed, warp breaks). Expert: Alexandre Chevalier.
