~ LIVING ROOM SET Consisting of two chairs and an armchair in molded and carved mahogany. The rounded apron rests on sheath-shaped front legs and saber-shaped back legs. The armrests are turned into balusters, and the flat backs are topped with double-dovetail pediments surmounted by a palmette. Stamped “Georges-Alphonse Jacob,” known as Jacob-Desmalter, under the rear crossbars. Restoration period. Later black fabric upholstery. Armchair: Height: 104 cm - Width: 60 cm - Depth: 48 cm. Chairs: Height: 94 cm - Width: 49 cm - Depth: 6 cm. (A few cracks, restorations) Swietenia mahagoni (II/B). Pre-Convention specimen.
