LARGE WALL SCONCE made of chiseled and gilded bronze, decorated with an antique-style vase and laurel garlands held in place by a lion’s muzzle, and flanked on either side by shafts topped with bouquets of pomegranates and supporting ram’s heads. The white enamel dial, displaying the hours in Roman numerals and the five-minute intervals in Arabic numerals, is signed CAUSARD. Hger DU ROY/SUIVt. LA COUR. Louis XVI period. Height: 78 cm.
