~ RELIGIOUS CLOCK Rectangular, made of red tortoiseshell veneer with Boulle-style brass marquetry. The upper section is curved. The dial features enameled cartouches, one of which is signed “Clouzier, Paris.” The back plate is also signed. One chime. Louis XIV period. Height: 55 cm - Width: 33 cm - Depth: 14 cm (Good overall condition; shows signs of wear, has missing parts, and has undergone alterations and restoration) Cheloniidae spp. (II/B). Pre-Convention specimen.
