PSYCHE CROWNING LOVE CLOCK in patinated bronze and Sienna yellow marble. On either side of the central marble post is a large group after Claude Michallon (1751-1799). The dial shows the hours in Roman numerals. It surmounts an applied gilded bronze bas-relief featuring an oil lamp. Terrace adorned with a large beam and a frieze of palmettes and supported by a base on four claw feet. France, 19th century.
