~ SHAWL CHEST on rosewood legs inlaid with light citron wood. The tomb-shaped chest opens with a hinged lid, which can be removed from the base. The base features a drawer along the lower edge and X-shaped legs ending in gilded bronze lion’s paws; the Xs are joined by a turned crossbar. Charles X period. Height: 98 cm (Good overall condition, restored). Dalbergia spp. (II/B). Pre-Convention specimen.
