DE COENE BROTHERS (ATTRIBUTED TO) Mahogany desk with Macassar ebony veneer, featuring a rectangular top upholstered in havana-colored morocco leather, opening at the waist with a central drawer flanked by two side drawers on either side. Decorated with silver-plated metal plaques featuring a garland of stylized flowers on the back and an elephant on each side of the central cabinet. Corner base with tapered legs ending in small metal spheres. Lock plates and keys in silver plated metal (chipped veneer, scratches, oxidation). Included is a Macassar ebony-veneered armchair with a gondola-style backrest and detached, fluted armrests adorned with a sculpted scroll at the top, which also forms the front base with tapered, fluted legs topped with small, flattened spheres. The rear base features slightly saber-shaped legs. Seat fully upholstered in black leather (signs of wear, scratches, stains).
