This rare hand coloured engraving is from Choix des plus Celebres Maisons de Plaisance de Rome et ses environs by Charles Percier et Pierre-François-Léonard Fontaine. Published by Didot, Paris 1809. Richly illustrated plate engraved by Bonnard. The work describes the most important Roman villas accompanied by magnificent plates giving extremely neat and elegant views of them.
